Dear Parent,
If you have taken the time out of your busy day to log onto our website in the interest of your child, then you are a parent who is interested in doing everything you can to prepare your young child for success in life … and you’ve come to the right place!
Hello -- my name is Dr. Judy Flury (BIO). I am the owner of the American Institute of Taekwondo, and the 3 & 4 year old Little Ninjas program. (read about our school).
The Little Ninjas class is a high-energy, fun, 30-minute class that will teach your child 8 core skills: Focus • Control • Social Skills • Discipline • Memory • Coordination • Balance • and Fitness.
In addition to these 8 core skills, the Little Ninjas program will also help your child develop listening skills, the ability to follow instructions, the confidence to work well with others, leadership skills, and lots of healthy self-esteem!
This special program is completely customized for the 3 & 4 year old age group. These important life skills are taught to your child through a special teaching method called “edu-tainment” -- that means that we teach the class through fun drills that your child thinks are games! So your child has a fantastic time in class, while you enjoy seeing them develop strong success skills that will prepare them for a lifetime of opportunities.
Listen to what other parents of our Little Ninjas students have to say about this program:
"We've only been a part of the Little Ninjas Program for 3 weeks now, however my son absolutely loves it. He shows enthusiasm throughout the entire week, anticipating to attend the next class.
The instructors are so patient with the lil' guys. Herding 8-10 four yr olds could not be easy, however, each class is controlled and runs so smoothly."

"I like the consistency of the trainers. I like that Jimmy knows what to expect from class each time. I like that extra help is available, offered, and recommended when needed. Jimmy has learned to stay with something, even when it loses the initial appeal or fun. Jimmy has had the values of responsibility and self discipline reinforced in his Taekwondo training. He’s seen that hard work is rewarded.
Jimmy has (also) developed good, healthy relationships and interaction with teens/mentors and adults outside our family. (I believe this is important, but hard to accomplish sometimes, b/c of child safety issues. Thus, it usually only happens at school or in church.)" Sharon Driscoll |
"Evie really enjoyed herself and is looking forward to attending another class. I was pleasantly surprised with the whole class. I love that the Leadership Team assists in the class and are all different ages. I was very impressed with all of them as well as Ms. Nguyen. She is great with the kids!"
Linda Maleski |
"I wanted to respond about Ishmael's progress. He enjoys coming to karate and participating in the drills. He has improved on his listening and now helps in cleaning his room.

"I want to let you know how much Seth has learned in Little Ninjas and what a joy it has been to watch him blossom over this past year. The Little Ninjas program has offered him opportunities to develop an internal sense of courage, confidence and respect. When he first began attending the classes last January he was extremely timid and shy and was experiencing severe separation anxiety. Ms. Nguyen has been kind and compassionate and very patient with Seth. She has taught him so very many things that help bolster what we teach him at home such as a balance of work and play, the importance of listening, being respectful of those around you, practicing self control, etc.
We have been very impressed with the level of professionalism at the school from the office staff to the instructors and leadership team members. One of Seth's biggest motivators as he has attended Little Ninjas has been working with the members of the Leadership Team. He watches very closely the older kids and how they interact and their behavior. They have role modeled very well the values that we, as Seth's parents, hold very dear and highly regard. My husband and myself have felt confident and assured that Seth has not only been learning important ways in which to move peacefully through the world, but also that he has been very respected himself. There are not many places a 4 year old can go where he/she is respected. This alone has changed Seth's attitude towards others. He is far more outgoing and excited to try new things than he was one year ago.
So for all of this and more we thank you for providing such a grounded program, and we thank the Leadership Team for being such appropriate role models and helping our son to see that when he works hard, practices focus and remains balanced he can achieve absolutely anything." Wren & David Wynn |
And the child experts agree:
“Children reap several benefits from martial art training. With progressive training, children become more enthusiastic, optimistic, and self-reliant.”
Dr. Mary Kurian, child education specialist |
“It has been found that girls who train in Taekwondo feel better about themselves physically, personally, and socially.”
Harvard Medical School study |
“Carleton University found that children in martial arts have a lower level of anxiety; an increased sense of responsibility; a decrease in the willingness to take foolish risks; a higher sense of self-esteem; and a higher level of social intelligence.”
Psychology Today |
"Every parent should ensure that their child knows three things: how to read, how to swim, and martial arts.”
Nicholas Cokinos, Childrens Education Specialist |
“I recommend sending children to a good martial arts school to increase their focus, to get them to concentrate better, and to gain more self-control”

The Little Ninjas program was designed with the input of 14 different GPISD Kindergarten and 1st grade teachers, as well as my own 22 years of experience in teaching children. You’ll enjoy knowing that your child is in an exclusive program that is customized around the exact social, emotional, and physical needs of your child’s age group.
The Little Ninjas also have their own belt rank system, so they get to continually set goals of reaching their next belt rank, and then they get to feel pride and accomplishment as they reach each new belt after working hard for it! Once they turn 5, or a few months after turning 5, they will join the Junior Taekwondo class, with a strong background in balance, coordination, beginning karate skills, focus, and the ability to listen to instructors and work well in a group.
Attendance is strictly limited in this program in order to make sure that each child gets plenty of individual attention, so be sure to call us or fill out the form below ASAP -- don’t wait, or you could find yourself on the waiting list!
