Dear Fellow Parent,

Do you know the keys to raising a happy and successful child?

How about the secrets to cutting through all of the “clutter” and distractions and really teaching your child the “Core” life skills that they’ll need forever?

Or the formula for developing the character that makes them leaders - NOT followers?

I’ve got some good news because there’s a children’s program right here in Grand Prairie that is for parents and families who really understand that the foundation they give their kids NOW is the key to their success later in life!  A program for parents who don’t settle for anything less than the best start in life that they can possibly give to their kids.

Yes, it’s true, and you won’t believe how simple it really is to instill in your child all of the “Core” life skills that propel them to success and achievement!  However, the best part is…

Your child will be having so much fun that they’ll forget they’re learning valuable skills that will turn them into leaders!

Hello - I’m Dr. Judy Flury, a psychologist, and the owner of the Karate Kidz Junior Achievement program here in Grand Prairie.  I’ve been called the “Children’s Success Coach”, because of the thousands of children that I’ve coached to greater heights of confidence, focus, and success over the past 22 years. (BIO.)

One thing that has stayed constant over the years is that parents bring their children into my children’s martial art learning center for so many benefits totally unrelated to kicking and punching.  (Read about our School.)

The dangers and obstacles for even young children are everywhere today -- peer pressure, negative examples on T.V. and in schools, increased bullying, unruly classrooms, etc.  The best parents understand that to raise happy, confident, secure, caring, successful children today, they have to be proactive in providing the best foundation possible.

My program has been a solution for many parents in your exact position.  Our curriculum will certainly build physical ability through fun martial art moves, but the true value comes from the positive “transformation” that occurs in all of our students.

  • They may be shy or unsure of themselves, but then in a short time, they’ve gained confidence.
  • They may be a distractible and have excess energy, but in no time flat they’re focused and respectful.
  • Plus so much more…
Karate Kidz teaches young people the success skills they need to excel at school, at home, and in life.

Families Just Like Yours From All Over Grand Prairie Are Giving Their Children (and themselves) the Unfair Advantage of Karate Kidz Junior Achievement . Here is some of their feedback…

"Dr. Flury, Thanks for the encouragement and support that you offer. Your apprentices' are wonderful. I love watching them work with the kids. "

- Anita Taylor

"Ryan is very happy with the program.  His only comment (being a normal kid) is that he wishes there were more time for games at the end of class.  We are very happy.  You are doing a great job and we look forward to future training!"

- Debbie Armstrong, Grand Prairie

“We are thankful to you and to your program. Jacob has been loving the classes since day 1. He has learned a lot and has the desire to do well with the training, because of what the trainers have taught him. He has made some friends and has begun to appreciate more the physical and character training. We will definitely continue with the program, and hopefully someday Jacob can also be a contributing part to the program.”

- Blessings, Hannah Lee

"Oh, Dr. Flury, thanks so much. I can't tell you how excited Phillip was when he learned he was participating in your camp this week! He was even shedding tears. Thanks for such wonderful support and inspiration you give to all of us. "

- Carrie Singleton, Grand Prairie

"Evie really enjoyed herself and is looking forward to attending another class. I was pleasantly surprised with the whole class. I love that the Leadership Team assists in the class and are all different ages. I was very impressed with all of them as well as Ms. Nguyen. She is great with the kids! "

And the Child Experts Agree:

I recommend sending children to a good martial arts school to increase their focus, to get them to concentrate better, and to gain more self-control”

~World renowned child psychologist Dr. Ruth Peters (featured on Oprah Winfrey Show, Good Morning America, CBS Good Morning, NBC's Today, CNN Morning News, and MSNBC.)

Children reap several benefits from martial art training. With progressive training, children become more enthusiastic, optimistic, and self-reliant.”

~Dr. Mary Kurian, child education specialist.

It has been found that girls who train in Taekwondo feel better about themselves physically, personally, and socially.”

- Harvard Medical School study.

Carleton University found that children in martial arts have a lower level of anxiety; an increased sense of responsibility; a decrease in the willingness to take foolish risks; a higher sense of self-esteem; and a higher level of social intelligence.”

"Dr. Flury, Ms Nguyen was SO NICE and patient with Elijah! She kept inviting him to join if something looked fun. Your school has impressed me from the beginning and I hope that eventually we can get Elijah enrolled."

- Whitney Terrell

“I really look forward to having my kids begin your program. I searched a lot of schools around in the Metroplex and feel that yours will give my children what they need (confidence, strength, pride, etc.)”

From Alan Jackson, one of our green belt kids:
“Karate has made me not so shy. Now I can talk to people without being scared. It has given myself more self-confident.”

From Richard Sullivan, one of our black belt kids:
“When I started Taekwondo I was kind of clumsy, when I ran I fell a lot and tripped over my feet. I started karate and I got better at not falling all the time. I learned to pay attention better. It helped me not get mad all the time. It helped me to feel better about myself because it taught me to defend myself and know I am good and nice and a strong person.”

From Devyn Marshall, one of our junior black belts:
“Since I’m in Taekwondo, I now say yes ma’am and yes sir and hold doors open for other people before me. I say please and thank you. So every time my mom asks for me to do something, I say yes ma’am. When I want something I say please then thank you. I hold the door open for my mom.”

From Savaughn Anderson, one of our black belt kids:
“I like Taekwondo because it has helped me be a stronger person. I also like it because it trains me to do a good job. I have learned from Taekwondo that if a stranger tries to get me to always run away. I also have learned that if I am locked in a strangers car to pull the wires and scream for help.”
