“Dr. Flury, I just wanted to touch base with you and let you know that I am so proud as a mother for taking the time to support my child in his dream of learning Karate. After years of research I could not have chosen a better school. After reading your bio along with Ms. Nguyen's, I must say I am so amazed at your dedication and knowledge of psychology and helping kids through the rough years. I plan to do everything in my power to ensure he is under your care for years to come. I can only imagine the amount of kids you have in your classes and I know you are busy, but I just wanted to say Thank you for being you! ”

“I would like to let you know that we're really impressed with your school and the programs you offer. Tito was nervous at his first class and didn't participate, however, with the help of Ms. Nguyen and the older kids he did participate on his second class and loves it so much that he's been bragging about his "Little Ninja Class" with everyone. Ms. Nguyen is so good and so patient with the little ones. We believe that our Tito will learn a lot from this class. We did talk to our family and friends and hope they will also enroll their kids at your school, too. !”
- Angela Fellows, mother of 9-year old Orange belt Cody
“Pierce received two awards at school - the Elmer award for self-confidence, and an award for outstanding citizenship. We were so excited and impressed with this progress. He started the year very shy, unsure, and quiet. His teacher now tells me he is confident, participates in discussions, and works extremely hard. I know that Dr. Flury has had a major impact on him, as he always wants to make sure that she knows of his accomplishments and hard work.”
-Christine Taylor, mother of 6-year old Pierce and 4-year old Preston
“The coaches always say that by Chicago knowing karate, that it has helped him do things that other kids can’t or have to train really hard to do. For example, his reflexes are quick and he stretches out really long. He plays first base and outfield, so these things really help. Also, when they run laps, he’s the only one that breathes right and doesn’t get tired. They also notice the respect that he shows to the players and the coaches. I must thank you for all of this. Tae Kwon Do has made him a better baseball player.”

“I like and have enjoyed having my son Neal in Karate Kidz because I've seen him involved into a more confident, responsible and helpful person in the 5 years he's been attending the school. Whats more important is when he tells us how great he feels when he is given the responsibility of being able to help out with the lower rank students. Neal has learned so much more then just self defense while attending Karate Kidz and that has helped in bringing out the best that I know he has within himself.”
- Nora Gomez -- Apartment manager and mom of Neal Gomez
“Thank you so much for the follow-up! Bryson could not stop talking about class last night. He had to call everyone in our family to tell them all about blocking, and aiming and striking paper, and kicking… We are thrilled to have him in class and hope this will help channel some of his excess energy. He even has a classmate from school in his class. Can’t wait for class tomorrow night! Thanks again"

“We think that signing Ryland up for your classes was one of the best things we have done. He looks forward to class. We are kept informed of his progress, and we like the fact that you, Ms Nguyen & Mrs. Hosford truly care about Ryland and are patient with him. The helpers are not there because they have to be, but because they care about the students also. Thanks again for all you and your staff do for us.”

"I like the consistency of the trainers. I like that Jimmy knows what to expect from class each time. I like that extra help is available, offered, and recommended when needed. Jimmy has learned to stay with something, even when it loses the initial appeal or fun. Jimmy has had the values of responsibility and self discipline reinforced in his Taekwondo training. He’s seen that hard work is rewarded.
Jimmy has (also) developed good, healthy relationships and interaction with teens/mentors and adults outside our family. (I believe this is important, but hard to accomplish sometimes, b/c of child safety issues. Thus, it usually only happens at school or in church.)”

"I have to tell you again how much I appreciate your exceptional communication with me! The decision to enroll him in the institute is reinforced so often by your e-mails, the great staff I have been fortunate to interact with and also by Ms. Nguyen, who was excellent when Julian was apprehensive on his first visit. Julian has expressed great enjoyment in his class and I have noticed that he is already exhibiting more extraverted traits! I am very pleased and impressed with all aspects of the institute and appreciate everything very much (already)!"

"Thanks for letting me know how you feel Alex is doing! He really seems comfortable with things lately and he was really studying the grade sheet from the test to see how well he did. He kept counting the "E's" and he was proud of how many he received! He even commented on where he could improve and do better, which makes me feel he really wants to be doing this rather than me encouraging him to go.
I've noticed a huge difference in school as well, which could be because he's gained more self-confidence thru the karate. Thanks for having such dedicated instructors, and a fun curriculum for the students to learn!!"
